Matt I've owned this album for a few years now and it's a special favourite I keep coming back to.
Its exquisite mix of delicate piano patterns (Alex Lucas) and subtle organic ambient swells (Olan Mill) creates sheer beauty. There's even room left for a creative mind to breathe and wallow inside it. Favorite track: Carpe Diem.

His modern classical influences and reknown warm layers of gentle ingenuousness are perfectly balanced by concrete melodies of piano scattered around Tramuntana.

Carrying lost memories towards their rightful destination, the wind flowing through this release acts like a protector ensuring his adopted children meet their beautiful fate, slowly dissolving into the sea.

A humble and immediate release. Favorite track: Castells.

thomas mathie My favourite track on the release is "Ibro", an euphoric piece that builds into something truly magnificent during its short duration, thanks to the use of synths and the driving melody of the piano. This could easily be the mainstay of the next release from Nils Frahm or one of his contemporaries on Erased Tapes.

In a time of momentary spleen and fatalism, Cavade Morlem emerged as the perfect anxiolytic I needed. Surprisingly, the interludes and narrative parts inverted their typical actors, giving the short tracks the task of building the aquatic features I figure, like sirens in Chort or the oceanic vastness in Lighul, while we slowly infuse our souls into longer pieces reflecting peace and oblivion. Objectively not the best album by Alex Smalley, but still the right one at the right moment. Lovely. Dotflac
